Most Open-Box Electronics between 0 and 00 come with a 1-year manufacturer warranty. This plan gives you an additional year (i.e., a 2nd year) of coverage after the manufacturer warranty ends. In the case of Open-Box Electronics without a manufacturer’s warranty, the Care Plan coverage begins on Day 31 after item purchase and lasts for one year. We will not cover any issues that occurs within 30 days of item purchase. Some issues are not covered. These include issues that occur within 30 days of item purchase, accidental damage from drops & spills, software issues, or accessories & parts meant to be replaced by the consumer. |

Other Things You Should KnowUpon purchase, you will get an email. This is your official confirmation of a purchase. The email will also have a link to the “My Warranties” section on the SquareTrade website where you can view and manage your Care Plans. You will not get a paper contract unless you request one. Please read the terms & conditions. There is even a plain English Summary that is easy to read and understand. You'll find it at the top of the page. This plan extends your manufacturer warranty for any purchase of an Open-Box Amazon Electronics. SquareTrade coverage starts after the manufacturer warranty ends. For example, if you have a 3 month manufacturer warranty, our coverage starts on Day 91 after item purchase and lasts for one year after that. We cover you even if there is no manufacturer warranty. If the item has no manufacturer warranty, our coverage starts on Day 31. We will not cover any issues that occurs within 30 days of item purchase. This Care Plan is ONLY for Open-Box items bought on Amazon. It does not apply to items not bought on Amazon, items that are new in-box and any generation of Refurbished Kindles.
